BJCEM welcomes the membership of local, regional, national institutions, as well as with independent organisations, art schools and networks active in contemporary arts. BJCEM membership is not open to individual artists, curators or cultural operators.
BJCEM offers its members the following benefits:
1) Engage & Develop: during the year, several meetings among partners are organised. They are aimed at promoting opportunities for debate, exchange of good practices and peer to peer learning in order to help members in their professional growth, increase their level of experience and make them more confident in an international cooperation environment.
2) Communicate: through its website, newsletter (over 4,000 contacts), Facebook page (over 4,700 fans), and Twitter (over 500 followers) BJCEM supports its members in disseminating information on their activities.
3) Partnerships: BJCEM offers support in the search for grants and development of joint projects, encouraging the creation of solid transnational partnerships among its members and with third organisations. Members actively participate in BJCEM’s flagship project, the Biennale.
BJCEM offers artists from its members’ countries the following opportunities:
1) The Biennale: BJCEM members support the participation of artists from their country to the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, understood as a professional development process that covers the periods between each edition and beyond.
2) International mobility: BJCEM members support the participation of artists from their countries in international residencies and workshops. The aim is to give young artists and young curators new opportunities for exchange, learning and research.
